Appoint Acting Mayor for 2019
Mayor Roe briefly highlighted this item as detailed in the RCA and related at-
tachments dated January 7, 2019.
Councilmember Groff indicated he would not be interested at this time to be Act-
ing Mayor.
Councilmember Willmus indicated he would not be interested either.
Councilmember Laliberte stated the Mayor is very good at attending almost every
required, requested event he is invited to and she would be willing to serve in that
role again.
Etten moved, Willmus seconded, to approve Councilmember Laliberte as Acting
Mayor for 2019.
Roll Call
Ayes: Willmus, Groff, Etten, Laliberte and Roe.
Nays: None
e. Confirm Citizen Advisory Commission Reappointment/Appointment Process
City Manager Trudgeon briefly highlighted this item as detailed in the RCA and
related attachments dated January 7, 2019.
Councilmember Willmus asked if there was an error in regard to the Finance
Commission. He believed Robin Schroeder was eligible and willing to seek reap-
pointment.
Mr. Trudgeon stated he talked to Mr. Miller regarding that and he indicated that
Robin Schroeder is ready to do something else. He stated he will double check.
Councilmember Laliberte did not think the Council needed to re-interview the
Commissioners who are resubmitting applications to continue their roles. She
thought staff should survey the Commissioners who are not seeking reappoint-
ment as to the reason why.
Mr. Trudgeon indicated starting last year the City did exit interviews and that can
be done this year as well.
Mayor Roe stated per the City Rules and Procedure and per the Resolution on
Commission Appointments, two Councilmembers can request to interview any of
the reappointment applicants.
Councilmember Groff stated he would not recommend re-interviewing current
Commissioners. He suggested saving Council time.
