Regular City Council Meeting
Monday,April 15, 2019
Page 3
Mayor Roe reviewed the results of the city manager performance evaluation with
the public. He noted the City Council received very positive feedback from the
employees about the work environment and leadership being provided in the Or-
ganization. The City Council has found Mr. Trudgeon' s performance to be very
satisfactory and authorized the final STEP increase in salary bringing his pay
from roughly $161,000 to $165,000. He stated the City Council appreciates the
job Mr. Trudgeon has been doing for the City and looking forward to more years
of success under Mr. Trudgeon' s leadership.
City Manager Trudgeon stated this has been a great job in Roseville and appreci-
ates the opportunity the Council has given him, and he considers himself very
lucky and looks forward to continuing to serve the City of Roseville.
Mayor Roe stated one of the outcomes of that discussion will be to work on some
goals and objectives and measurable metrics for 2019 into 2020 for the next re-
view and those goals and metrics will come back to the City Council for public
action in the coming weeks.
6. Mr. Olson stated as he and
Mr. Trudgeon have talked about next steps and how to remedy some of this, there
was talk about reconvening some of the neighborhood parkers to get back in
touch and find out how this can get more support from the community members
to help with the messaging. The ones who have been using it really enjoy it but
this needs to grow in order to continue.
Mr. Olson noted approximately a week ago, he met with Mr. John Connelly of the
Twin Cities North Chamber of Commerce and Mr. Connelly will help with some
of the outreach to different businesses for smaller pieces because he thought the
net goal was to get the City down to a zero cost.
Councilmember Laliberte asked what the City has done to engage the Alliance on
this in the Rice/Larpenteur area. She also asked if there is opportunity for the
