Regular City Council Meeting <br /> Monday, April 22, 2019 <br /> Page 2 <br /> Etten moved, Groff seconded, proclaiming May as Asian and Pacific Islander <br /> Heritage Month. <br /> Council Discussion <br /> Councilmember Laliberte stated she had a question about the second Whereas. <br /> She indicated she did not know the exact title of the House Joint Resolution 540, <br /> but she wondered if the title was Pacific/Asian Pacific or was its Pacific Islanders <br /> because this was previously discussed at the joint meeting. <br /> Ms. Olson stated the original proclamation was designated as Pacific/Asian Pacif- <br /> ic American Heritage Week. She stated the language throughout the years has <br /> changed. <br /> Mayor Roe stated some work is still needed on the consistency of the language <br /> through this resolution. <br /> Roll Call <br /> Ayes: Willmus, Laliberte, Groff, Etten and Roe. <br /> Nays: None. <br /> c. Proclaim May as Older Adults Month <br /> Mayor Roe read the proclamation of May as Older Adults Month. <br /> Laliberte moved, Willmus seconded, proclaiming May as Older Adults Month. <br /> Roll Call <br /> Ayes: Willmus, Laliberte, Groff, Etten and Roe. <br /> Nays: None. <br /> Mayor Roe thanked the Human Rights, Inclusion, and Engagement Commission <br /> for taking on a substantial task to review all of the proclamations. <br /> 6. Items Removed from Consent Agenda <br /> a. Approve a Cigarette/Tobacco Products License <br /> City Manager Trudgeon briefly highlighted this item as detailed in the Request for <br /> Council Action (RCA) and related attachments dated April 22, 2019. He noted <br /> that late in the afternoon, staff received some additional information about the ap- <br /> plication that staff would like to have more time to review and suggested the City <br /> Council table action on this item to be brought back at the May 6th meeting pend- <br /> ing review of the information. <br /> Groff moved, Etten seconded, tabling consideration of this cigarette/tobacco <br /> products license. <br />
