The Commission is seeking feedback on their <br />83 recommendations for next steps. <br />84 1. Phase I – Foundation <br />85 Commission recommendations: <br />86 A. Staff will work with the HRIEC to integrate the GARE racial equity toolkit into <br />87 the best practices document and IAP2 model for city engagement. A revised best <br />88 practices model will be brought to Council for approval. <br />89 B. Document is distributed to staff. <br />90 C. Training is developed on the document and IAP2best practices model is adopted. <br />91 D. Staff who oversee and conduct community engagement and/or outreach receive <br />92 the training on the document and IAP2 engagement model. <br />93 E.Staff and Council will utilize the document and IAP2 engagement model and <br />94 spectrum when considering and developing community engagement/outreach, or <br />95 reviewing policies or new prrojects. <br />96 What next steps does the Council wish to see regarding the draft Best Practices <br />97 guide? <br />98 <br />99 In addition, listed below arethe Commission’s recommendations on next steps for Phase II- <br />100 Outreach.
