Regular City Council Meeting <br /> Monday,June 17, 2019 <br /> Page 25 <br /> Ms. Purdu reviewed the additions to the Implementation chapter with the Council. <br /> Mayor Roe noted the Met Council referenced changing language about the bus <br /> service to state some of the lines are more frequent than thirty minutes and unless <br /> it was covered elsewhere he did notice on Chapter 7, page 55 he could not find <br /> that it said anything about routes going faster than that so he wanted to make sure <br /> the language was addressed where it needed to be addressed. <br /> Mr. Lloyd explained that item in the letter from the Met Council identified a par- <br /> ticular bus line and was brought to staffs attention by a member of the communi- <br /> ty that maybe the Metropolitan Council should have known that the bus line no <br /> longer comes into Roseville. <br /> Ms. Purdu indicated that information will be addressed in the letter back to the <br /> Met Council that the comment was not addressed because the line no longer exists <br /> in Roseville. <br /> Etten moved, Groff seconded, authorize staff to submit the 2040 Comprehensive <br /> Plan update revisions to the Metropolitan Council. <br /> Council Discussion <br /> Councilmember Laliberte asked if Councilmember Etten would be willing to <br /> carve out the BRT Overlay so she could vote everything but that. <br /> Mayor Roe indicated Councilmember Laliberte could make a motion to amend. <br /> Councilmember Laliberte indicated that was what she was requesting. <br /> Laliberte moved, Willmus seconded, to authorize staff to submit the 2040 Com- <br /> prehensive Plan update revisions excluding the BRT Overlay to the Metropolitan <br /> Council. <br /> Council Discussion <br /> Councilmember Laliberte understood it is in the details and the City can decide it <br /> does not matter because it is a minimum but for her, it is about process. The <br /> Council said this was an opportunity area that the Council wanted people to pay <br /> attention to and would be engaged in and now the Met Council is asking for a <br /> change that has not gone through a process. <br /> Councilmember Willmus agreed and thought there was some frustration to be lev- <br /> ied at the Met Council for continuing to come back to move the bar after the pro- <br /> cess has been started, after the Council has put forward and fulfilled the require- <br />
