Regular city Council Meeting <br /> Monday,July 22,2019 <br /> Page 11 <br /> Mayor Roe reviewed public hearing protocol and opened and closed the public <br /> hearing at approximately 6:55 p.m. for the purpose of receiving public input on <br /> the above-referenced vacation of drainage and utility easements; with no one ap- <br /> pearing for or against. <br /> Etten moved, Groff seconded, adoption of Resolution No. 11623 entitled, "Reso- <br /> lution Approving the Vacation of Drainage and Utility Easements within Lot 3, <br /> Block 1, Centre Pointe Business Park rd Addition, Ramsey County, Minnesota." <br /> Roll Call <br /> Ayes: Groff, Etten, and Roe. <br /> Nays: None. <br /> c. Consider Recommendation from the Human Rights, Inclusion and Engage- <br /> ment Commission Regarding Potential Programming for Hispanic Heritage <br /> Month. <br /> Assistant City Manager Rebecca Olson briefly highlighted this item as detailed in <br /> the RCA and related attachments dated July 22, 2019. <br /> Commissioner Bolinger and Vice Chair Peterson reviewed the Hispanic Heritage <br /> Month programming planned for October 2019. <br /> Ms. Olson noted in regard to budget, there is some money available in the Com- <br /> mission budget for an event. She did not have specifics but could give the Council <br /> general information on some of the movie licensing and food truck rental. The <br /> Commission would like to get the Council's feedback and based on what the <br /> Council is looking for, the Commission can come back with a more solid budget. <br /> Councilmember Groff thought that was some very good work the Commission <br /> has done. He liked that the Commission reached out to the community and got <br /> their input. He thought the ideas the community came up with are some of the <br /> things the Commission has talked about to form community. The other thing he <br /> liked about this idea is that it would reach out to many residents in Roseville, pos- <br /> sibly being a unifier for the City. He like those aspects of it. He liked the food <br /> truck and movie idea, noting the Commission has thought of a range of things that <br /> would interest the people and would be a very family friendly event so he would <br /> support it. <br /> Councilmember Etten agreed with the positives and appreciated the direct connec- <br /> tions into the different members of the Hispanic communities in Roseville and the <br /> Roseville area. He thought the sub-titles were a great gateway. He questioned of <br /> seeking sponsors had been discussed, as the budget is probably not very big so he <br /> suggested looking to sponsors. He also suggested researching into food trucks and <br /> how many would be needed. He thought it was excellent to work with the Park <br /> and Recreation Department and agreed that time is of the essence at this point. He <br />
