Regular City Council Meeting Monday, September 23, 2019 Page 4 Laliberte moved, Willmus seconded, approving the Police Department's request to apply for a Pathways to Policing Grant. Mayor Roe offered an opportunity for public comment, with no one coming for- ward. Roll Call Ayes: Etten, Willmus, Laliberte, Groff and Roe. Nays: None. c. Hold a Public Hearing and Consider a Resolution Approving a Variance to Chapter 405, Noise Control, Temporarily Extending Construction Activity Hours at 2820 Cleveland Avenue N. Building Official David Englund briefly highlighted this item as detailed in the Request for Council Action and related attachments dated September 23, 2019. He noted Ryan Companies would like to extend the variance due to its expiration date of September 30, 2019. Mayor Roe reviewed public hearing protocol and opened and closed the public hearing at approximately 6:29 p.m. for the purpose of receiving public input on the above-referenced Variance; with no one appearing for or against. Etten moved, Groff seconded, adoption of Resolution No. 11634 entitled, "Reso- lution Approving a Variance from City Code Section 504.03, Hourly Restrictions on Certain Operations for Ryan Companies, for the Property located at 2820 Cleveland Avenue N." with the additional condition 6 with the end date of July 31, 2020. Council Discussion Councilmember Etten was glad this is working out for the applicant. Councilmember Groff thought the concern the Council had earlier on was not a concern so he was fully supporting it. Mayor Roe asked if there was any construction work done in the variance hours during that time frame. Mr. Englund indicated there was work done during that time.
