ACCELERATED EMERALD ASH BORER (EAB) PROGRAM DISCUSSION Vice- <br />Chair Hoag and Commissioner Stoner attended the Finance Commission meeting onAugust <br />13, 2019. Vice-Chair Hoag relayed that the Finance Commission was supportive ofthe <br />Accelerated EAB Program. However, there was some confusion on why the item wasbrought <br />to the Finance Commission as they view the Reserve Fund expenditure as a CityCouncil <br />decision. <br />Commissioner Stoner encouraged the City Council to provide further details on what type of <br />recommendation they are looking for from the Finance Commission. <br />The Commission discussed next steps to move this item forward. They agreed that another <br />request to the City Council should be the next step. A discussion occurred about scheduling <br />an upcoming joint meeting with the City Council, possibly on October 7 or October 14. <br />Several Commissioners commented that they could attend either date. Staff will review <br />timing and update the Commission. <br />4 <br /> <br />
