ATTACHMENT C <br />1347 5. Combustion air. A supply of air for complete combustion of the fuel and for ventilation <br />1348 of the space containing the fuel-burning equipment shall be provided for the fuel-burning <br />1349 equipment. <br />1350 6. Energy conservation devices. Devices intended to reduce fuel consumption by <br />1351 attachment to a fuel-burning appliance, to the fuel supply line thereto, or to the vent outlet <br />1352 or vent piping therefrom, shall not be installed unless labeled for such purpose and the <br />1353 installation is specifically approved. <br />1354 D. Electrical Facilities <br />1355 1.Facilities required.Every occupied building shall be provided with an electrical system <br />1356 in compliance with the requirements of this section and Section 906.08.E. <br />1357 2. Service. The size and usage of appliances and equipment shall serve as a basis for <br />1358 determining the need for additional facilities in accordance with the ICC Electrical <br />1359 Code. Dwelling units shall be served by a three-wire, 120/240 volt, single-phase <br />1360 electrical service having a rating of not less than 60 amperes. <br />1361 3. Electrical system hazards. Where it is found that the electrical system in a structure <br />1362 constitutes a hazard to the occupants or the structure by reason of inadequate service, <br />1363 improper fusing, insufficient receptacle and lighting outlets, improper wiring or <br />1364 installation, deterioration or damage, or for similar reasons, the code official shall require <br />1365 the defects to be corrected to eliminate the hazard. <br />1366 a. Abatement of electrical hazards associated with water exposure.The provisions of this section shall <br />1367 govern the repair and replacement of electrical systems and equipment that have been exposed to <br />1368 water. <br />1369 b. Electrical equipment. Electrical distribution equipment, motor circuits, power equipment, trans- <br />1370 formers, wire, cable, flexible cords, wiring devices, ground fault circuit interrupters, surge <br />1371 protectors, molded case circuit breakers, low-voltage fuses, luminaires, ballasts, motors and electronic <br />1372 control, signaling and communication equipment that have been exposed to water shall be replaced in <br />1373 accordance with the provisions of the InternationalBuilding Code. <br />1374 Exception: The following equipment shall be allowed tobe repaired where aninspection <br />1375 report from the equipment manufacturer or approved manufacturer's representative indicates <br />1376 thatthe equipment has not sustained damage that requires replacement: <br />1377 b.1. Enclosed switches, rated not more than 600 volts orless. <br />1378 b.2. Busway,ratednotmorethan600volts. <br />1379 b.3. Panelboards, rated not more than 600 volts. <br />1380 b.4. Switchboards,ratednotmorethan600volts. <br />1381 b.5. Fire pump controllers, rated notmore than 600 volts. <br />1382 b.6. Manualand magnetic motor controllers. <br />1383 b.7. Motor control centers. <br />1384 b.8. Alternating current high-voltage circuit breakers. <br />1385 b.9. Low-voltage power circuit breakers. <br />1386 b.10. Protective relays, meters and current trans- formers. <br />1387 b.11. Low- and medium-voltage switchgear. <br />1388 b.12. Liquid-filled transformers. <br />1389 b.13. Cast-resintransformers. <br />1390 b.14. Wire or cablethat is suitable for wet loca- tions and whose ends have <br />1391 not been exposed to water. <br />31 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
