37 P OLICY O BJECTIVE <br />38 The creation of a special event policy and procedures will create more certainty for event organizers, <br />39 allow for better oversight of special events by the City, and help better inform and protect adjacent <br />40 property owners from the negative impacts of special events. <br />41 B UDGET I MPLICATIONS <br />42 The proposed policy would plan to recapture city costs as much as possible for city services <br />43 provided as a result of the special event. <br />44 S TAFF R ECOMMENDATION <br />45 Staff would like for the City Council to review and approve or provide input regarding the <br />46 special event permit policy. <br />47 R EQUESTED C OUNCIL A CTION The City Council should review the attached material and consider <br />48 approving the special event permit policy.
