collection vehicles must be equipped with 2-way communication <br />devices. <br />The Contractor shall certify that each employees of the Contractor <br />that will be performing work in the city shall have been found free of <br />offenses of felony, gross misdemeanor or misdemeanor punishable <br />by jail. The certification shall be approved by the Roseville Police <br />Department. <br />Contractor's personnel will be trained both in program operations <br />and in customer service and Contractor shall insure that all personnel <br />maintain a courteous and positive attitude with the public and in the <br />work place. <br />Contractor shall ensure that all personnel will adhere to the <br />appropriate personnel conduct including, but not limited to, the <br />following requirements: <br />1. Conduct themselves at all times in a courteous manner and use <br />no abusive or foul language. <br />2. Perform their duties in accordance with all existing laws, <br />ordinances, and regulations; and future amendments thereto of <br />the Federal, State of Minnesota, and local governing bodies, <br />including federal and state Departments of Transportation. <br />3. Be clean and presentable in appearance, as so far as possible. <br />4. Wear auniform and employee identification badge or name <br />tag. <br />5. Drive in a safe and considerate manner. <br />6. Manage containers in a careful manner, by picking them up, <br />emptying their contents into the collection vehicle, and placing <br />— not throwing or sliding —the container back in its curbside <br />location so as to avoid spillage and littering or damage to the <br />container. <br />7. Monitor for any spillage and be responsible for cleaning up <br />any litter or breakage. <br />8. Avoid damage to property. <br />9. Only discard cigarette or cigar butts and tobacco ash in a <br />proper receptacle on the collection vehicle. <br />10. Not smoke while inside garages or other enclosed buildings. <br />5.04. Recvcline Containers <br />Contractor must submit proposals for options in which the Contractor <br />owns the carts and in which the City owns the carts. Please see <br />Attachment E. <br />14 <br />
