2.5.4 City Parks Contractor shall provide a proposal for recycling services in City Parks. The proposal should include servicing carts adjacent to parking lots and buildings (less than 25 feet from parking lot), and on trails/pathways on a dollar -per -pull basis. The Contractor shall use a smaller vehicle appropriate for driving on City Parks trails. The Contractor shall comply with the Roseville Parks Safety Plan (URL to be added here). Contractor shall submit its operating plan, including vehicles, for City review and approval. The Contractor should also provide a recommended schedule for servicing the parks and include a removal and placement plan of carts in the spring and fall. Actual schedules will vary depending on weather. The Recycling Coordinator will inform the Contractor on scheduling the servicing, dates for removal, and placement of the carts. Exhibit D, City Buildings and Parks Recycling, contains the maps and list of parks an number of carts that will need servicing either weekly or every other week. Contractor will provide carts, dumpster or other mutually agreed upon containers to facilitate municipal facility recycling service. 2.5.5 Zero Waste Events AW Roseville holds four Zero Waste events each year at which Food Scraps are collected for composting: Earth Day elebration (third SaturdayND ). Taste of sefest (fourth Thursday in Run for the Roses (fourth Saturday in Wild Rice Festival (second Saturday iber). The Contractor e responsible for attending the events to staff and monitor the Zero Waste collection stations a educate residents. Prior to the event date, the Contractor will also be _responsible for educating any vendors that attend and hand out, sell, etc., any goods or services. All material (Food Scraps, Recyclables, trash) collected shall be the responsibility of the Contractor for appropriate processing or disposal. Food Scraps shall be disposed of at a permitted composting facility. After the event, the Contractor shall provide a report to the City, highlighting the amount recycled, composted, and landfilled. The report shall also include ways to improve diversion at the event and any other successes/opportunities that were identified. 2.5.6 Curbside Collection of Residential Food Scraps The City may consider the option to offer curbside Food Scraps (food waste and non -recyclable paper) collection during the term of the Contract.
