• Cleveland Watermain Project <br />o The contract for this project was awarded on February 22 to SGP Contracting, Inc. <br />Work involves the replacement of the watermain between County Road C2 and County <br />Road D. No road closures are anticipated but traffic on Cleveland Avenue will be <br />reduced to one lane in each direction. Work began May 17"'. Completion of the project <br />is expected by mid -August. <br />St Rose of Lima Drainage Improvements <br />o Bids were opened on February 3 and a contract was awarded to OMG Midwest on <br />February 22. The project is a joint project with Ramsey Washington Metro Watershed <br />District. Work involves reducing the impervious amount of the parking lot, installation <br />of rain gardens and installation of an underground storage system. The improvements <br />will reduce runoff and provide treatment which should help reduce flooding in the <br />neighborhood. Work began on July 16. All work is anticipated to be completed by <br />August 20 before the State Fair begins. <br />Ramsey County Updates <br />• County Road B2 Resurfacing and Signal Improvements <br />o This summer the County plans to resurface County Road B2 between Fairview Avenue <br />and Hamline Avenue. As part of the project they will be replacing three signal lights in <br />the corridor and upgrading curb ramps to meet ADA compliance. Additionally, a new <br />pathway will be installed on the north side of County Road B2, under the Snelling <br />Avenue bridge between the ramps. Work is expected to begin in August. <br />Minnesota Department of Transportation updates: <br />• I-35W MnPASS project- <br />httn://www.dot.state.mn.us/metro/vroiects/35wnorthmnnass/index.html <br />o Construct MnPASS Express Lanes (one lane in each direction) in the middle of existing <br />I-35W between County Road C in Roseville and Lexington Avenue (County Rd 17) in <br />Blaine. <br />o Repave I-35W and ramps between County Road C in Roseville to just north of Sunset <br />Ave (County Road 53) in Lino Lakes. <br />o Replace and repair bridges along the project area <br />o Install noise walls on the east side of I-35W just north of the County Road C ramps to <br />County Road D. <br />o Rosegate west of Cleveland Avenue will be closed through November to accommodate <br />bridge reconstruction. <br />o Contract was awarded in October 2018 to Ames Construction which had the winning <br />Design/Build Proposal. Total cost is $208 million. <br />o Work in this last year of the project will likely begin in April and will continue through <br />the end of 2021. <br />o The northbound 35W exit ramps to County Road C/Cleveland Avenue are closed and <br />will be closed through the summer until the ramp is rebuilt. The detour is posted to exit <br />onto County Road D. <br />Sustainability Update <br />• Partners in Energy <br />o Partners in Energy held an Energy Action Plan Kickoff meeting on July 2 with City <br />staff. The kickoff meeting discussed the next steps needed to start moving the plan <br />forward. The topics discussed were: roles and responsibilities, action items, timing, <br />promotional materials, etc. Staff have met with Partners in Energy twice since then to <br />check in on implementation, with the last meeting including Garry Bowman from our <br />
