Karon <br />explained briefly that the present ordinance provides that in a Business District <br />no bUildin~ shall be within 30 feet of the highway property line. The new ordin- <br />ance provi es that no business use for building or business purposes (such as <br />parking, etc.) can be within 30 .t'eet of the property line. <br /> <br />Vembrez moved, HaƓmersten seconded, that Ordinance Ho. 151 be adopted. <br />Roll Call Ayes-(4) Nayes-(O). <br /> <br />Mr. Rosenthal appeared before the Council about the grading of Roma Ave. <br />between Fernwood and nmlap. The property owners, with the exception of Mr. Laska, <br />seem to be in favor of the grading and are willing to be assessed. Mr. Rosenthal <br />was asked to present a petition of more than 50% of the property owners at the <br />next meeting. '»with signatures <br /> <br />Mrs. Erickson of Orchard Lane appeared regarding the repairing of Orchard <br />Lane, which she claimed was in bad shape, lull of deep ruts, and wanted to know <br />if the road could be widened. Mogren will give an easement if' the Village <br />grades the road at no cost to him. It was graded once and accepted by the <br />Village as a 30 ft. road. Membrez moved, Hamaersten seconded that Carley be <br />instructed to give us an estimate to show the difference between the cost of <br />maintaining a 30 ft. road and grading Orchard Lane to a 60 ft. width by obtaining <br />an easement from Mogren. Roll call Ayes-(4) Nayes-(O). Mrs. Erickson then <br />asked if a temporary repair job could be made right away. Carley said he would <br />look at the road the next morning and see if a little blading will fix it up for <br />the time being. <br />
