Residence to Business District. <br />Hammersten moved, seconded by Kembrez, that the petition be accepted and <br />referred to the Zoning Board for public hearing on April 20th and. the Village <br />CO\mcil on April 21st. Roll call Ayes-(4) Hayes-(O). <br /> <br />Carley reported that a road going in from the South on Christensen' 8 <br />property is not very practical and he does not feel that it would fit into the <br />over-all plan for the Village. He suggests opening up Transit Avenue east and <br />west. Christensen said he will give an easement it the Village builds the road. <br />The former easement was not valid because Mrs. Christensen had not signed it. <br /> <br />DoD Nelson appeared about what could be done with Burke east of Lexington. <br />It is an up and down street and does not have proper drainage. He wanted to <br />know if it would be graded. Mr. Carley 11111 bring in a plan that he has on <br />Burke Avenue at the next meeting. <br /> <br />)frs. Krause presented a petition to change the name of Woehrle Road to <br />Sandhurst Drive for the entire length of the street. Vembres moved, Carlson <br />seconded, that the name of Woehrle Road. be changed to Sandhurst Drive as per <br />petition presented. Roll call Ay-es-(4) Nqes-(O). <br /> <br />Mrs. Krause also inquired if a "Dead End" sign could be erected on Lexington <br />Avenue and Sandhurst Drive. The Clerk was instructed to order a sign for that <br />intersection. <br /> <br />The Clerk read a petition for vacating a 12 ft. strip of land between Grand- <br />view Ave. and Lovell separating Lots 14 and 15 in Block 3 and Lot 1 Block 3 and <br />Lot 3 Block 2. H8I1aereten lIoved, Membrez seconded that the petition be accepted <br />and public hearing be held on April 21st by the Council. Hanaersten moved, <br />Carlson seconded, that the specifications be accepted and the Clerk be instructed <br />to advertise for bids to be opened April 21st at 2:00 P.M. Roll call Ay-es-(4) <br />Nayes-(O). <br /> <br />The Clerk read the specifications for Beer Cooler for the Liquor Stores. <br />Mellbrez aoved, Hamaersten seconded, that the specifications be accepted and the <br />Clerk advertise for bids to be opened April 21st at 2:00 P.M. Roll call Ay-es-(4) <br />Nayes-( 0). <br /> <br />The Clerk read a' letter frOll Carley regarding drainage - Vik's Addition, <br />South of Highway 36 just West of Lexington. :Mr. Vik will install the concrete <br />pipe at the time the road is being built 1£ the Village furnishes the pipe, which <br />will cost 1386.00.
