The coat was to be assessed against the property <br />owners. Membrez moved, seconded by Hammersten, that the petition be accepted <br />and referred to the Technical Committee. Roll call Ayes-(5) Nay-es-(O). <br /> <br />There were several requests for the lifting of road restrictions and what <br />we could do about them. Memhrez moved, Carlson seconded, that the matter be <br />referred to the Road Commissioner and the Village Engineer and that they use as <br />a guide the plan the county has for the raising of limits on road restrictions. <br />Roll call Ayes-(5) Nayes-(O). <br /> <br />Membrez moved, seconded by Carlson, that easement presented by Mr. Christensen <br />be accepted and referred to the Engineer And if in proper order that he be instructed <br />to establish a grade and place grade st2kes. Roll call Ayes-(5) Nayes-(O). <br /> <br />Ray Kroiss inquired about SOfiie property he purchased from Len Mattson and <br />the matter of street vacation was referred to the Technical Committee. <br /> <br />Membrez moved, seconded by Hammersten, that proper sign be erected on Western <br />and Minnesota. Roll call Ayes-(5) Nayes-(O). <br /> <br />Mrs. Dempsey of 391 W. T.H. 36 and Mrs. D. Larkey 2333 No. Western Ave. <br />asked what the plans were for widening Western Ave. between Minnesota Ave. and <br />T.H. 36. Several of the residents wanted to do some work in their yards and they <br />did not want to encroach on the right-of-way. Membrez moved, seconded by Hammersten, <br />that Carley investigate the matter. <br /> <br />Mr. Anton Reiling or 2326 No. Lexington inquired as to what was going to be <br />done ebout the' water which runs onto his property from Lovell and Grandview. <br />Carley said he woú1d meet with him and go over the property and see how the <br />problem could be solved. <br /> <br />After consultation between Loft~gaarden, attorney for Bolstad Addition, <br />Costello of the Midwest Realty, and Mr. Karon, attorney for the Village, a <br />compromise was reached. on set-backs on the petition presented by the Midwest <br />Real ty, with a change in set-backs tIS previously requested. Karon read the re- <br />drawn ordinance governing the above-mentioned set-backs. Membrez moved, seconded <br />by HaƓmersten, that Ordinance No. 152 be adopted and published. Roll call <br />Ayes-(5) Nayes-(O). <br /> <br />Mr. E. J. McCubrey, District Engineer, and Harold Van Krevelen of the High- <br />way Dept. were present 1'ith working drawings of the new proposed T.R. 280,which <br />runs along Walnut st. and connects with T.H. 36, for the Council's consideration <br />and adoption. <br /> <br />Iiammersten moved, seconded by Willmus, t hat the resolution accompsnying the <br />drawings be adopted. Roll call Ayes-(5) Nayes-(O). <br /> <br />Hammersten moved, seconded by Carlson, that Ordinance No. 153 amending <br />Ordinance No. 149 be adopted. Roll call Ayes-(5) Nayes-(O). <br />
