<br />Continued Page 4. <br /> <br />330 <br /> <br />Membrez moved, Hammersten seconded, that the Automobile Comprehensive <br />Liability Insurance Policy covering fire trucks be increased from $25,000 each <br />person - $50,000 each accident to $100,000 and $300,000 respectively. Roll call <br />Ayes-CS) Nayes-(O). <br /> <br />The question of purchasing a portion of Len Mattson's property for continuation <br />of Sandhurst Drive was up for discussion. Mr. Karon read the portion of the new <br />law governing regulations on assessments and hearings. A public hearing must be <br />held to authorize the improvement if the Council buys the property with plans to <br />assess the cost of purchase back against .the property owners. <br /> <br />Connor moved, Hammerst~n seconded, that we purchase the strip of land offered <br />by Len Mattson for tile sum of $850.00 out of Road Funds. Roll call Ayes-(S) Nayes-(O). <br /> <br />The Clerk read ~ resolution regarding application to St. Paul for Sanitary <br />Sewerage hook-up. Hammersten moved, Carlson seconded that the following resolution <br />be adopted. Roll call Ayes-(5) Nayes-(O). <br /> <br />'~EREAS, the Village of Roseville desires to install a sanitary sewer system <br />within that portion of the Village bounded by Hamline, Lexington, Garden, Roma, <br />Chatsworth and Larpenteur, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, The extent and nature of the proposed system is shown upon the <br />attached plat, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, A sælitary sewer system is necessary in said area to protect the health <br />of the residents of said area as well as surrounding areas located in the city of <br />Saint Paul, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, The Village of Roseville has no ~lequate outlet for said proposed <br />sewer, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the sewer systeIll of the City of Saint pau.l extends to Larpenteur <br />Avenue, which is the southerly boundary of said area, <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, That the Village of Roseville through its proper <br />officers request the City of Saint Paul to allow a connection with the Saint Paul <br />sewer system for the purpose of discharging therein sanitary sewage from s aid area <br />upon the payment of such charges as the City of Saint Paul shall determine to be <br />just and reasonable." <br /> <br />Hammersten moved, Membrez seconded, that Karon prepare the necessary letter <br />for application to the City of st. Paul. Roll call Ayes-(5) Nayes-(O). <br /> <br />Preliminary estimate of grading Roma Ave. from Fernwood to Dunlap was read. <br />The total cost was $2100.00, $S30 of. which would be Village cost, leaving a total <br />of $1,70.00 to be assessed against the property owners. This would amount to <br />$130.50 per owner of each 75 ft. lot. Willmus moved, Hæamersten seconded, that <br />Carley make report according to requirements covering Roma, Dionne and Mid Oaks <br />Lane. Roll call AYes-(4) Nayes-(O). <br />
