project is funded using Community Development Block Grant Funds. The City's <br />contractor is waiting for the developer to finalize grading. The trail work should be <br />completed by mid -October. <br />Ramsey County Updates <br />• County Road B2 Resurfacing and Signal Improvements <br />o This summer the County plans to resurface County Road B2 between Fairview Avenue <br />and Hamline Avenue. As part of the project, they will be replacing four signal lights in <br />the corridor and upgrading curb ramps to meet ADA compliance. Additionally, a new <br />pathway will be installed on the north side of County Road B2, under the Snelling <br />Avenue bridge between the ramps. Work began in late August and will continue into <br />early November. All signals, except the signal at Fairview, will be operated as all way <br />stops for the duration of the project in order to accelerate the completion of the project. <br />Council Update <br />• Approved preliminary plat of Midland Legacy Estate 3rd Addition. <br />• Received the 2022 City Manager Recommended Budget & Tax Levy. <br />• Considered an Ordinance approving Zoning Map and Zoning Code text amendments to <br />align with the City's 2040 Comprehensive Plan. <br />Interviewed PWETC candidates. <br />Received Strategic Racial Equity Action Plan Update. <br />Sustainability Update <br />• Partners in Energy (PiE) <br />o Staff continues to meet with PiE every other week to discuss the current work and the <br />next steps to implement the plan. <br />o Staff will use the data from the energy burdened investigation (property value less than <br />$254,200, built before 1980, and no permits for building improvements for the past 30 <br />years), to finalize a mailing list as a way to target properties that could be facing high <br />energy costs. The mailing will be going out in the next couple of weeks. <br />o Staff have been working with PiE to create translated handouts that can be used for low- <br />income and energy burdened residents to help educate residents about the program and <br />potential improvements that they can do to reduce energy costs. <br />o More information can be found at www.CitvOfRoseville.com/Partners-in-Energy <br />Major Maintenance Activities: <br />• Street and Storm <br />o Completed 3rd Citywide sweep by Labor Day. <br />o Ongoing sidewalk panel grinding trip hazards. <br />o Ongoing pavement patching. <br />o Ongoing sign work. <br />o Ongoing catch basin repairs. <br />o Ongoing compost site maintenance and pile turning. <br />o Ongoing misc. tree work. Several responses, mostly fallen EAB branches. <br />o Ongoing Streetscape maintenance. <br />Water and Sanitary Sewer <br />o Repaired one broken water main. <br />o Located city -owned facilities for Gopher State One Call locate requests. <br />o Created a process to enforce Watering Restrictions within the City of Roseville. <br />o Continued repairing water meters and MIUs. <br />
