Attachment A 129 D.When a previously registered property is sold, the new owner shall register within 30 130 days of the sale, if the property continues to be a residential rental property. 131 132 133 907.07 NOTICE TO TENANT, REQUIREMENT TO POST: 134 135 A.The owner or its agent must post, in accordance with the instructions provided by the 136 City, in each rental unit a current copy of the Registration Certificate provided by the 137 City upon registration. This certificate shall specifically include the followingminimum 138 information: 139 1. The street address of the registered property; and 140 2. The name, street address, and telephone number of either the owner or the 141 3. The expiration date of the registration;and 142 4.Information about how to access the Landlord and Tenants Rights and 143 Responsibilities Handbook provided by the Minnesota Attorney General. 144 145 907.08 EXEMPTIONS: 146 147 A.All owners of residential rental properties are required to register their properties according 148 to Section 907.06, however, the following property owners are exempt from the registration 149 fee and the requirement to post a registration certificate: 150 1. Owners of residential rental properties where all renters residing in the rental 151 property are related to the owner as a parent, child, sibling, grandparent, 152 grandchild, step-parent, step-child, step-grandparent, or step-grandchild and the 153 owner or agent affirms in the registration that each of the renters is one of these 154 relations. 155 2. Owners of residential rental property licensed by the State of Minnesota as a 156 group home and used as such. The owner or agent must provide the current 157 license number on the registration form. 158 B.In all cases, an owner must notify the City in writing within 30 days if an exemption, as 159 described in this Chapter, is no longer applicable. (Ord. 1426, 6-18-2012) 160 161 907.09: REGISTRATION SUSPENSIONS AND REVOCATION: 162 163 A.A rental registration may be revoked or suspended by the City Council at any time under 164 this provisionsof this chapter by the Community Development Directorfor grounds 165 including, but not limited to, the following: 166 1. Three or more confirmed violations of this section within 180 days. 167 2.False or misleading information given or provided in connection with a 168 registrationapplication. 169 3.Failure to maintain the residential rental property in a manner that meets 170 pertinent provisions of City Code including, but not limited to, Code 171 Chapters 407 and 906. 172 4. Violations committed or permitted by the owner or the owner’s agent, or 173 committed or permitted by the tenant or the tenant’s guests or agents, of any 4
