Attachment A <br />129 D.When a previously registered property is sold, the new owner shall register within 30 <br />130 days of the sale, if the property continues to be a residential rental property. <br />131 <br />132 <br />133 907.07 NOTICE TO TENANT, REQUIREMENT TO POST: <br />134 <br />135 A.The owner or its agent must post, in accordance with the instructions provided by the <br />136 City, in each rental unit a current copy of the Registration Certificate provided by the <br />137 City upon registration. This certificate shall specifically include the followingminimum <br />138 information: <br />139 1. The street address of the registered property; and <br />140 2. The name, street address, and telephone number of either the owner or the <br />141 3. The expiration date of the registration;and <br />142 4.Information about how to access the Landlord and Tenants Rights and <br />143 Responsibilities Handbook provided by the Minnesota Attorney General. <br />144 <br />145 907.08 EXEMPTIONS: <br />146 <br />147 A.All owners of residential rental properties are required to register their properties according <br />148 to Section 907.06, however, the following property owners are exempt from the registration <br />149 fee and the requirement to post a registration certificate: <br />150 1. Owners of residential rental properties where all renters residing in the rental <br />151 property are related to the owner as a parent, child, sibling, grandparent, <br />152 grandchild, step-parent, step-child, step-grandparent, or step-grandchild and the <br />153 owner or agent affirms in the registration that each of the renters is one of these <br />154 relations. <br />155 2. Owners of residential rental property licensed by the State of Minnesota as a <br />156 group home and used as such. The owner or agent must provide the current <br />157 license number on the registration form. <br />158 B.In all cases, an owner must notify the City in writing within 30 days if an exemption, as <br />159 described in this Chapter, is no longer applicable. (Ord. 1426, 6-18-2012) <br />160 <br />161 907.09: REGISTRATION SUSPENSIONS AND REVOCATION: <br />162 <br />163 A.A rental registration may be revoked or suspended by the City Council at any time under <br />164 this provisionsof this chapter by the Community Development Directorfor grounds <br />165 including, but not limited to, the following: <br />166 1. Three or more confirmed violations of this section within 180 days. <br />167 2.False or misleading information given or provided in connection with a <br />168 registrationapplication. <br />169 3.Failure to maintain the residential rental property in a manner that meets <br />170 pertinent provisions of City Code including, but not limited to, Code <br />171 Chapters 407 and 906. <br />172 4. Violations committed or permitted by the owner or the owner’s agent, or <br />173 committed or permitted by the tenant or the tenant’s guests or agents, of any <br />4 <br /> <br />
