Regular City Council Meeting Monday,December 5,2022 Page 3 like when he was younger, and then moving back to Roseville as he and his wife were raising a family. In knowing some of the history and background,he became involved in the community and got on the Parks Commission. He has seen the number of people involved and committed to Roseville made a lot of these deci- sions easier and the collaborative effort that went into them is what it is all about. He very much appreciated the acknowledgement and certainly could not do this without his family. Mayor Roe indicated this is also going to be the last meeting for the time being for City Attorney Mark Gaughan. Mr. Gaughan's firm has been representing the City as its civil attorney and prosecuting attorney for many years and Mr. Gaughan has been at the meetings for a long time and he believed for all of his time on the City Council. He thought it was important to note his service to the City and to the Council and his participation in all of the Council's decision making through the years. He stated Mr. Gaughan has been very responsive both at the meetings and outside of the meetings to all of the Council and City Staff. While the City is mak- ing a change in the terms of business and the contracts associated with it,the change is only as long as one contract, and a person does not know what happens at the next go around. He thanked Mr. Gaughan again for being the City's attorney for all this time. City Attorney Gaughan indicated it has been an honor and a pleasure and Roseville is a very impressively run City, both from a staff perspective and its elected offi- cials. It has been a real honor. b. Human Trafficking Awareness and Prevention Month Proclamation Mayor Roe read the Human Trafficking Awareness and Prevention Month Procla- mation. Strahan moved, Etten seconded, proclaiming January 2023 Human Trafficking Awareness and Prevention Month. Roll Call Ayes: Willmus, Strahan, Etten, Groff, and Roe. Nays: None. 6.
