RCA Attachment A <br />1 ORDINANCE NO. ____ <br />2 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING TITLE 10, ZONING, OF THE ROSEVILLE CITY CODE TO <br />3 UPDATE AND AMEND SHORELAND MANAGEMENT AND ENVIRONMENTAL <br />4 REGULATIONS <br />5 The City Council of the City of Roseville does ordain: <br />6 Section 1. Zoning Code Amended. After Planning Commission and City Council consideration <br />7 of Phase 2 of Project File 0044, the Roseville City Code, Title 10 (Zoning) is hereby amended to add and <br />8 update various definitions. <br />9 ACCESSIBLE ELECTRIC VEHICLE CHARGING STATION: electric vehicle charging station where <br />10 the battery charging station is located within accessible reach of a barrier-free access aisle and the electric <br />11 vehicle. <br />12 BATTERY ELECTRIC VEHICLE: any vehicle that operates exclusively on electrical energy from an <br />13 off-board source that is stored in the vehicleÓs batteries and produces zero tailpipe emissions or pollution <br />14 when stationary or operating. <br />15 BUILDING HEIGHT: The vertical dimension measured from the average elevation of the approved grade <br />16 at the front of the building to the highest point of the roof in the case of a flat roof, to the deck line of a <br />17 mansard roof, and to the midpoint of the ridge of a gable, hip, or gambrel roof. (For purposes of this <br />18 definition, the average height shall be calculated by using the highest ridge and its attendant eave. The <br />19 eave point used shall be where the roof line crosses the side wall.) In the case of alterations, additions or <br />20 replacement of existing buildings, height shall be measured from the natural grade prior to <br />21 constructionThe vertical distance between the highest adjoining ground level at the building or ten feet <br />22 above the lowest adjoining ground level, whichever is lower, and the highest point of a flat roof or <br />23 average height of the highest gable of a pitched or hipped roof. <br />Page 1 of 32 <br /> <br />
