ORDINANCE NO. ____ 1 <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING TITLE 10, ZONING, OF THE ROSEVILLE CITY CODE TO 2 <br />UPDATE AND AMEND SHORELAND MANAGEMENT AND ENVIRONMENTAL 3 <br />REGULATIONS 4 <br />The City Council of the City of Roseville does ordain: 5 <br />Section 1. Zoning Code Amended. After Planning Commission and City Council consideration 6 <br />of Phase 2 of Project File 0044, the Roseville City Code, Title 10 (Zoning) is hereby amended to add and 7 <br />update various definitions. 8 <br />ACCESSIBLE ELECTRIC VEHICLE CHARGING STATION: electric vehicle charging station where 9 <br />the battery charging station is located within accessible reach of a barrier-free access aisle and the electric 10 <br />vehicle. 11 <br />BATTERY ELECTRIC VEHICLE: any vehicle that operates exclusively on electrical energy from an 12 <br />off-board source that is stored in the vehicle’s batteries and produces zero tailpipe emissions or pollution 13 <br />when stationary or operating. 14 <br />BUILDING HEIGHT: The vertical dimension measured from the average elevation of the approved grade 15 <br />at the front of the building to the highest point of the roof in the case of a flat roof, to the deck line of a 16 <br />mansard roof, and to the midpoint of the ridge of a gable, hip, or gambrel roof. (For purposes of this 17 <br />definition, the average height shall be calculated by using the highest ridge and its attendant eave. The 18 <br />eave point used shall be where the roof line crosses the side wall.) In the case of alterations, additions or 19 <br />replacement of existing buildings, height shall be measured from the natural grade prior to 20 <br />constructionThe vertical distance between the highest adjoining ground level at the building or ten feet 21 <br />above the lowest adjoining ground level, whichever is lower, and the highest point of a flat roof or 22 <br />average height of the highest gable of a pitched or hipped roof. 23 <br />RCA Attachment A <br />Page 1 of 32
