The roadway reconstruction portion of <br />that, $1,250,000, is proposed to be partially funded per the City's Special Assessment Policy. <br />Residents will be assessed up to 25% of the cost of the roadway (not including pathway <br />construction nor utility improvements). Since a portion of the project is proposed to be <br />assessed, the Chapter 429 process must be followed. <br />Special Considerations <br />H. Street Design <br />1. Pavement <br />Project 24-02 <br />The proposal road is 25 feet from curb to curb, also explained as a 21 foot wide <br />bituminous driving surface and two 2 foot wide concrete gutters. The project <br />proposed to reclaim the existing pavement, so that the material can be reused as <br />the new subgrade material. If unsuitable material is encountered beneath the <br />existing pavement during construction, it will be removed and replaced with <br />suitable backfill material.
