Commissioner Baggenstoss suggested potentially having a concert each evening of Rosefest. In <br />addition, he relayed that he likes the idea of events that focus on bringing the community <br />together. <br /> <br />Vice-Chair Matts-Benson noted that as a parent with young children she enjoys the Superhero <br />Carnival and Touch-a-Truck Rosefest events. She proposed the idea of potentially having <br />community partners involved with those events to create a “Rosefest Family Night.” <br /> <br />Commissioner Baggenstoss suggested that Rosefest events are reviewed to ensure that there are <br />options to accommodate all demographics. Staff relayed that there are ongoing discussion <br />regarding additional ideas to ensure events to reach varying demographics. <br /> <br />Commissioner Arneson suggested engaging comic book vendors in the city forthe Superhero <br />Carnival. <br />Vice-Chair Matts Benson suggested being very intentional with transportation options to <br />Rosefest events. Commissioner Baggenstoss added the idea of potentially including bike parking <br />at events. <br />b) COMMISSION FOR PARKS AND RECREATION ACCREDITATION OVERVIEW <br />Roseville is one of four Parks and Recreation Agencies in Minnesota to be accredited by the <br />Commission for Accreditation of Park and Recreation Agencies (CAPRA). Roseville Parks and <br />Recreation previous renewed their accreditation with CAPRA in 2019 and are again up for their five- <br />year reaccreditation. The main benefit of CAPRA is ensuring Parks and Recreation departmental <br />compliance with national best practices. <br /> <br /> Capra Benefits <br />1. Staff training <br />2.
