<br />-2- <br /> <br />The Planning Commission submitted the following recomms'l'tdd.iollto the <br />Council: <br />The Planning Commission recommedds to the Village Council that an <br />ordinance be passed affixing a lexy of $25 per unit of new residential <br />construction, this levy to be paid at the time the building permit <br />is issued. Proceeds of this levy are to go into a parks and play- <br />grounds fund. <br />McGee moved, Salverda seconded the recommendation be checked by the Village <br />attorney for interpretation and legality and then the matter will be con- <br />sidered at the next meeting. Roll Call Ayes (5)-Nayes (0). <br /> <br />The Planning Commission reported they had taken up for consideration the <br />inquiry of the Children's Home Society about a site in Roseville. <br />They stated that since we have begun a comprehensive Village plan, the <br />Commission was of the opinion that the building of such an institution <br />should be delayed until work on the plan has progressed to the point where <br />it can be seen how and 'Where such a building fits in. <br /> <br />Hammersten moved, Carlson seconded the letter be placed on file and the <br />owner and interested parties be sent copies of the letter which was sub- <br />mitted. Roll Call Ayes (5)-Nayes (0). <br /> <br />At the last council meeting the Planning Commission had bee"~iven a plat <br />of Hedlunds Addition (Fairview & Co. Rd. D) for study. In their report <br />to the Council, they stated the matter was to be held over till the next <br />Planning Commission meeting of February 6. <br />McGee moved, Hamrnersten seconded the letter be placed on file. Roll Call <br />Ayes (5)-Nayes (0). <br /> <br />McGee moved, Hamrnersten seconded the salary of the Secretal'Y of the <br />Planning Commission be raised to $50.00 month, and to appropriate up to , <br />$200 for expenses of the Plaming Commission. Roll Ayes (5)-Nayes (0). <br /> <br />McGee moved, Salverda seconded to prohibit the storing of any vehicles <br />within the Village building other than those o-wned by the Village. Roll <br />Call Ayes (4)-Nayes (1). Carlson not voting. <br /> <br />The Police report that was submitted to the Council at the last meeting <br />was discussed. It was suggested department heads get together with the <br />Council to discuss their respective budge~$... <br /> <br />McGee reported about the Wm. Reiling matter. (dirt that was removed from <br />road right-of-way). He stated Mr. Reiling is out of town but a relative <br />said Hr.
