Again, this seemed principally
to effect the lower channels.
Section 4 and 5 of this report contain speciiEic conclusions
, 'I
with resect to those homes were remedial action is necessary, as
we.l as several homes where the owner thaught such action 5hnuld be ,;;
u
J
aken.
There were three noticable areas of television inerfernce. One
was on the east side of Lexington Ave., immediately north of the 345
kv line. Ancther one was on Terrace Dr. in the six and seven hundred
block. The last area includes Farringtn Courtf and the homes on
the east side of Owasso Blvd., south of the railroad tracks. Each
of these areas has steel poles between the homes and the TV trans-
mitting stations. At each location the home TV antenna looked thru
said poles, at an oblique angle. A.s a general rule it could be assumed`
that those homes with poles, or towers behind them; or those homes
where the line o£ poles is close to being perpendicular, will have
the least likelihood of receiving interference.
Without making this survey, it_is my opinion, that a great number
of TV complaints would have been received by the Villag or by N.S.P..
By thoroughly documenting the radio and TV receptiox in this area with
this survey it is possible to tell accurately the effected areas.
It wQuld have been impossible to tell which complaints were legitmant,
without such a survey. Sufficient numbers of homes wexe observed. in
,
