W. comer of Snelling and Lydia ior the Shell Oil Co. <br />Roll Call Ayes (.5)-Nayes (0). <br /> <br />Mike Schwartz presented his plans and sketch for an open air market at <br />Transit and Rice St. The Enginner reported there would be no drainage <br />problem at this point and the State would have to be asked to install a culvert <br />at Rice St. <br />CARLSON MOVED, SALVERDA SECONDED permission be granted to :Mike Sehwartz for <br />the erection of a vegetable stand at Transit and Rice. Roll Call Ayes (5' -NayesO <br />n <br /> <br />The ~lanning Commission reported they had studied Roberts Plat # 3 (east of <br />Hamline, south of N.P. tracks) and stated they were of the opinion it should <br />not be used for residential purposes. <br />MCGEE MOVED, SALVERDA SECONDED to turn down the applicaiñon to accept the <br />plat of Roberts Plat # 3 for residential purposes. Roll Call Ayes (.5)-Nayes (0). <br /> <br />Mr. Roberts stated he would try to get it zoned industrial. <br /> <br />CAR.I.SON NOVED, SALVERDA SECONDED to give final approval to the Roseville <br />Terrace Plat 9. The Planning Commission felt it was <br />not suited for residences and recommended use of this are for a park. <br />HAMMERSTEN MOVED, CARlSON SECONDED to accept the plat of Green Meadowsas <br />presented. Roll Call Ayes (2)-Nayes (3)-Salverda, Kitts, McGee opposed. Motion lost. <br /> <br />SALVERDA MOVED, HAMlvIERSTEN' SECONDED the matter be held over to the next <br />meeting. Roll Call Ayes (4)-N~es (l) McGee opposed. <br /> <br />A request was received from Mr. Willis in regard to havång the grades set <br />for the street (Dellwood) in Josephline Court. The Plat had been accepted <br />many years ago. <br />fÌAMMERSTEN MOVED, CARLSON SECONDED the EnginBer Carlsy be authorized to <br />set grade st.es for Dellwood St. in Josephine Court. Roll Call Ayes (.5)-Nayes (0) <br /> <br />In the fall of 19.55 Mr. Michelson had presented a petition for rezoning at <br />Co. Rd. D and Hwy,8 At that time the matter was tabled until he notified us. <br />He now notified us he wanted to go ahead with the rezoning of the property <br />from Fann Residential to Business. <br />HAMi'*1ERSTEN MOVED, CA.RI50N SECONDED the petition be accepted and referred to <br />) the Planning Commission. Ro:I Call Ayes (5)-Nayes (0). <br /> <br />A petition was received with a request for a street light and street sign <br />to be installed at the corner of Ruggles and Femwood. The clerk was asked <br />to get further information such as place for st~et light to be placed, <br />before action is taken. <br /> <br />A letter of resignation from Building InspecäT Jk Borden waØ:ead. <br />MCGEE MOVED, SAINEJDA SECONDED that effective immediately the village hire <br />Chris Petersen as full time combined Building, Htg. and Gas Inspector at a <br />salary of $6,000 per year..
