n <br />DIVISION 3 <br />CONCRETE <br />03300 - CAST -IN -PLACE CONCRETE <br />1. <br />GENERAL <br />A. <br />Furnish all labor, materials, tools, equipment, and perform all work and <br />services necessary for or incidental to the furnishing and installation <br />complete, of all concrete work as shown and specified, in accordance with <br />Contract Documents, and completely coordinated with work of all other <br />trades. <br />B. <br />Provide all supplementary or miscellaneous items, appurtenances, and <br />devices incidental to or necessary for a sound, secure and complete <br />installation. <br />C. <br />Related work specified elsewhere: <br />1. Section 03510 - Gypsum Concrete Underlayment <br />2. <br />gUAL ITY STANDARDS <br />A. <br />Codes and Standards: ACI 301 "Specifications for Structural Concrete for <br />Buildings% ACI 304 "Recommended Practice for Measuring, Mixing, <br />Transporting, and Placing Concrete', comply`with applicable provisions <br />except as otherwise indicated. <br />B. <br />Certificates signed by material producer and Contractor may be submitted <br />In lieu of material testing when approved by the Architect. <br />C. <br />Quality Control: Perform sampling and testing during concrete placement.. <br />1. Sampling: ASTM C-172 <br />2. Slurp: ASTM C-143, one test for each load at point of discharge. <br />3. Air Content: ASTM C-2311 '. test for each 50 cu.yd. or fraction <br />thereof. <br />4. Compressive Strength: ASTM C-39, 1 set of 3 of each class of <br />concrete; test 1 at 7 days, 2 at 28 days. <br />0. <br />When total quantity of a given class of concrete is less than 50 cu.yd., <br />strength tests may be waived by Architect if field experience indicates <br />evidence of satisfactory strength. <br />3. <br />SU6MITT_ALS <br />installation <br />A. <br />Submit copies of manufacturer's specifications with <br />instructions for proprietary materials including admixtures, ,joint <br />materials, hardeners, curing materials, and others as requested by the <br />Architect. <br />1 <br />5264 <br />SECTION 03300 - 1 <br />
