e
Subsurface Conditions
Page 3 - #120-10689
The subsurface conditions encountered at each test location are shown
on the attached boring logs. We wish to point out that the subsurface
conditions at other times and locations on the site may differ from
those found at our test locations. If different conditions are
encountered during construction, we request that you contact us so
that our recommendations can be reviewed.
A review of the boring logs indicates the soil profile on this site is
somewhat variable. In the lower elevation (western) portion of this
site the soil profile consists of swamp deposits to depths up to 10'
underlain by a few feet of soft silty clay, in turn underlain by a few
feet of water deposited sand and silty sand. These soils were in turn
underlain by stiff to rather stiff sandy clay glacial till between
depths of about 14 1/2' and 28' in boring 2-83. The remainder of the
soils profile consists of interbedded rather stiff to stiff clays,
dense to very dense sand and very dense silty sand till to the depth of
bedrock. Weathered limestone was encountered at a depth of about
80 1/2' below grade. The bedrock was not cored, however, the bedrock
layer was penetrated 4' by means of a tricone bit.
Sa01L GXM0R8
