e
Page 4 - #120-10689
No swamp deposits were encountered on the higher elevation (eastern)
side of this site. Boring 1-83 encountered about 7' of fill underlain
by medium to stiff sandy clay and clayey sand glacial till to a depth
of about 24' below grade. The glacial till was in turn underlain by
rather stiff to stiff water deposited silty clay to the depth of our
boring at about 51'. Boring 4-83 again encountered a significantly
different soil profile. Silty clay was encountered to a depth of about
3' below grade. The predominant soil type at this boring location was
fine and medium grained sand. The sands were medium dense to very
dense. Stiff clayey silt was encountered between depths of 39' and 45'
below grade.
Water Level information
Water was observed in some of the borings at the time of the
exploration. The water level data is indicated on the attached boring
logs. The indicated water level was at approximately elevation 72,8'
at boring 4-83 and 78.6' at boring 2-83. The water level during our
Previous exploration on this site was somewhat higher at about
elevation 821. This exploration was performed 1n the spring of the
year, when the groundwater elevation is generally higher than in the
fall and winter months. We also understand that a portion of this site
does contain drain tile. The water level should be expected to
fluctuate both seasonally and yearly.
SOIL exMORBtion
cW
