0 0
Honorable Mayor Demos and Council Members February 11, 1985
If any roadway improvements are required, we would expect the necessary
R.O.W. would be acquired along the northerly side of B-2.
Our primary objective is that an efficient access system be provided
to not only serve the proposed Fashion Mall and existing developments,
but also to'serve that traffic by-passing the commercial development
(non -site traffic) at an acceptable level of service. In light of the
above, we retained Mr. Deane Wenger of Barton-Aschman to advise us what
impact the proposed Fashion Mall site plan approved by the Planning
Commission of January 2, 1985, would have on traffic to and from the
Rosedale Center. A copy of his opinion is attached for your perusal.
We probably will have him prepare a more thorough analysis before
formally requesting the County/City for a signal at the westerly entrance
off B-2.
I was pleased to ?,•n that access to Fashion Mall through Mid -America
Bank's entrance on •2 will not be allowed. This, in our opinion, is
desirable so that traffic from both centers is not concentrated at a
single intersection unnecessarily.
As in the past, we are ready and willing, as I am sure other existing
business and major developers in the area are, to continue working with
the City officials of Roseville for the economic growth and development
of the area. It is this type of cooperation between business and
government that provides beneficial results to all parties.
Sincerely,
Alktj J -
Alfred J.
