NO. 8886 <br />RE: Rosedale Mall Expansion/Renovation <br />Code Review Meeting No. 5 <br />FROM: STEVE PRATER <br />A meeting was held at the Roseville City Hall on April 16, 1991 at 1:30 p.m. to discuss and review <br />code issues as they relate to the remodeling of the the Rosedale Shopping Center. <br />5.1 Issue: Phase 2 Schedule <br />Comment: <br />A. August 6,1991, Dayton's will close their existing store. <br />B. August 8,1991, Dayton's will open their new store. <br />C. The 30 hours between when Dayton's close and open GGCC will construct an <br />enclosed pedestrian walkway between the new store and the existing mall. <br />D. Dayton's will have 30 days to completely -;:ate all of the fixtures in the old store. <br />E. September 8,1991 GGCC will start asbestos abatement, demolition and construction <br />in the old Dayton's store. <br />F. August 1,1992 - Phase 2 Consrructior will open. <br />5.2 Issue: Overview <br />Comment: Bill Miller of The Alliance gave a quick overview of the proposed Phase 2 <br />Construction. <br />A. Construction area will be level one and level two of the old Dayton's building. The <br />Basement will reinain as Dayton's except for approximately 3 bays in the northwest <br />corner of the building. <br />B. All stairs, elev4tors and escalators will remain except for the existing stair in the <br />northeast corner of the building. This stair will be removed and infilled. <br />C. The new service/exit corridor on the north side of the building will be tied into the <br />existing service/exit corridor of Phase 1 near where the previously mentioned stair is <br />removed. <br />D. The design intent of Phase 2 is to be a continuation of Phase 1. Skylights will be <br />installed, floor openings cut and finishes to match Phase 1. <br />E. Existing entry vestibules on the north and south will be removed with brick and <br />precast in`ill materials to match the existing adjacent walls. <br />F.
