MEMORANDUM <br />April 19,1991 <br />Page Two <br />G. New men's and women's restrooms will be built on the 2nd level near the northwest <br />corner. Each restroom will have 9-waterclosets/urinals and 5 sinks along with a <br />baby changing surface. <br />5.3 Issue: Fire, Smoke protection <br />Comment: <br />A. The plans which have been submitted to the ('itv of Roseville are complete. Minor <br />revisions may be expected due to budgetary consnaints -Roseville will be kept <br />informed. <br />B. Draft contains will not be provided by GGCC for tenant leaseholds. However, the <br />Rosedale tenant criteria requires that each tenant provide their own draft contain. <br />C. The sprinkler grid and smoke detector loop will be provided for each tenant. The <br />tenant criteria will require each tenant to install their t t drops and heads for <br />sprinklers and a smoke detector near the tenant entry <br />D. During construction, identical procedures will be carried out as has been maintained <br />during Phase 1; Le, fire watches, and availability of fire hoses, extinguishers, etc. <br />5.4 Issue: Screen walls near north and south delivery areas. <br />Comment: The plans showa masonry screenwall 14'-0" high at the north delivery area <br />and a wall VY-8"at the south delivery area. The proposed wall materials will <br />be burnished block, cement plaster, brick <br />as alternates ontthe medallions. <br />in thattwas <br />there is a <br />noted that these walls are cal <br />led out P <br />concern that the cost of the walls may <br />be too expensive. th the Roseville this wall is not <br />Code Officials for <br />used, GGCC will review other op <br />screening these areas. <br />5.5 Issue: Utility Entry to Building <br />Comment: All new utility entry/exit points were made prior to the construction of <br />Dayton's new wilding. Fire protection water, storm sewer, sanitary sewer, <br />gas and water are permanently served and metered near the northwest corner <br />of the old Dayton's store. <br />5.6 Issue: Contractor for Phase 2 <br />Comment: McGough Construction is currently working with GGCC in obtaining prices <br />for the construction of Phase 2. Assuming that construction costs come within <br />the budget, they will probably be the general contractor for Phase 2. <br />5.7 Issue: Temporary Pedestrian Walkways <br />Comment: Carl Parrague' of GGCC presented the proposed plans for providing a <br />protected walkway through the construction areas between the existing mall <br />and the new Dayton's mall entry. <br />A. Walkways will be 16' widc by 12' high. They will be constructed of gypsum board <br />on lightweight steel stud framing (one sided) with a lay -in ceiling. One walkway <br />will be built per floor. <br />
