MEMORANDUM <br />Page Four <br />July 24,1989 <br />Building Renovation (Continued) <br />Action Due Item Task <br />Roseville 2.14 Issue: Standpipes <br />8/17/89 <br />Comments: TCC prefers to add standpipes rather than move them. <br />Roseville typically likes standpipes near exit stairs so that <br />firefighters have an obvious means of retreat. <br />John Nisja will make a trip to Rosedale and propose locations <br />where he would like to see new standpipes. <br />2.15 Issue: Smoke Control <br />Comments: There are currently exhaust fans on the roof for the mall space <br />which are manually operated. <br />Each tenant has their own 1-iVAC system. <br />Proposed: Automate the smoke exhaust fans. <br />New mechanical system added to bring in make-up air to the <br />lower level of the mall. <br />Require tenants to install smoke exhaust systems as their leases <br />come up for renewal. <br />Install smoke detectors in each tenant space, and connect the <br />detectors to the central panel. <br />Install duct smoke detectors in the mall return air plenums. <br />Comments: Due to false alarms generated from du, a smoke detectors, it was <br />requested by the City that an addressable verification system <br />be installed. <br />A remote control panel would not be necessary, but rather a <br />panel which will identify the location of a fire/smoke <br />problem. <br />Draft curtains will be required at the face of new tenant stores as <br />well as at existing stores (as their leases expire or come up for <br />renewal). <br />2.16 Issue: Acceptance Testing <br />Resolution: Sprinkler testing - NFP 13 <br />Alarm testing - NFP 71-72 <br />Smoke Evacuation - will work out with City of Roseville <br />2.17 Issue: Fire Department Access <br />Comments: Roseville would like to see a separate remote enunciator panel <br />distinct from existing Control Room. <br />
