M E M O R A N D U M
DATE: January 18, 1990
TO: Craig Waldron
FROM: Rick Jopke 6
SUBJECT: American Street
The "bottom line" is as follows:
1. We will need to identify all present easements to be
vacated. Mr. Daugherty left off one or two road easements
which appear on the Ramsey County section maps. Mr.
Daugherty should investigate the torrence title on the
property in question to determine the status of these
easements. I will notify Mr. Daugherty of this.
2. The City needs to determine the proper procedure for
vacating American Street. There appears to be all easements
involved so we can probably just have the Council pass a
motion to release the easements. If the street was
dedicated, the City would have to pass a formal resolution.
I will contact Roger Jensen to determine the proper
procedure.
3. The City will need to retain a utility easement for the
existing water main.
4. We need to be sure all cross access easements are in place
to maintain access over the roadway by the various property
owners.
