Johnson called the Commission members attention to a memo that <br />was passed out from Police Chief James Zelinsky outlining <br />general security recommendations for parking ramps. <br />- Goedeke pointed out that the Commission is not making any <br />specific recommendations, just listing the four general areas, of <br />concern outlined in the Police Chief's memo. <br />Johnson stated that this is a beginning point to work from in. <br />future considerations of parking ramps. <br />Berry pointed out that parking lots and ramps are not safe places <br />and that this is a crucial issue. <br />Stokes asked if the Planning Commission can have input into the <br />design of parking ramps. Johnson replied that the input will <br />happen at the City Council meeting. <br />DeBenedet stated that the intent of the motion is for the Police <br />Chief to review individual proposals. Johnson replied that Chief <br />Zelinsky was willing to discuss this matter in more detail. <br />Roll Call: Ayes: DeBenedet, Berry, Goedeke, Stokes, <br />Moeller, Johnson <br />Nays: None <br />Johnson reminded the Commission of the retreat scheduled for <br />April 12 at 6:00 p.m.. and encouraged input from Commissioners on <br />issues that should be discussed. <br />Johnson announced that this was Commission Moeller's last meeting <br />and recognized him for his eight years of service on the <br />Commission and gave him best wishes for the future. <br />Adjournment <br />There being no further business, the meeting adjourned at 10:50 <br />p.m. <br />
