The Council reviewed a memo from Planner Howard Dahlgren relative to the division of the property into two lots with equal frontage. As you know, the Council unanimously approved the division of property into lots with frontages of 85 feet and 85.95 feet. As part of the action, the Council also approved a ten foot sideyard setback variance on the easterly lot. This will allow construction of a house twenty feet from the lot's easterly prpperty line. As you are aware, this Council action was conditioned upon submission of a $550 park contribution. In so researching, we discovered that the water assessment was only based on a standard sized lot with 100 feet of frontage. Since the lot frontage is greater than 100 feet, an additional assessment (hookup charge) of $7.50 per foot will be required prior to connection to the municipal water system.
