Lights would <br />104 be designed per engineering standards typically resulting in poles every <br />105 250-300 feet. As a minimum standard, all intersections, marked <br />106 crosswalks, and horizontal and vertical curves would have street <br />107 lightsstreetlights. <br />108 o Funding <br />109 Initial costs to install lighting to Business District standards will be <br />110 assessed to adjacent property owners. <br />111 Maintenance and future replacement costs will be paid by the City. <br />112 C.City Special District <br />113 o City Special Districts are as shown in Appendix A. <br />114 o This type of lighting will be for special areas as determined by the City Council. <br />115 This type of lighting may include streetlighting or pedestrian level <br />116 lighting or decorative style lighting. <br />117 The lighting standards for each Special District shall be designed for the <br />specific purpose and need of the district. <br />118 <br />119 o Funding <br />120 The City will fund installation and maintenance of lights within the City <br />121 Special District. <br />122 D. Enhanced District <br />123 o When property owners want differenta different location, design, or number of <br />124 requested lights above the Standard Streetl Light district standards, property <br />125 owners may request that the City undertake an “Enhanced District Street <br />126 Lighting” project. <br />127 o Procedure <br />128 When a request for an “Enhanced Street Lighting”Districtproject is <br />129 received, City staff, working with property owners, will determine the <br />130 boundaries of the project.
