Public Hearing to Consider Adopting a Resolution Approving the Vacation of <br /> a Utility Easement at 571 Roselawn Avenue <br /> Public Works Director Jesse Freihammer briefly highlighted this item as detailed <br /> in the Request for Council Action and related attachments dated May 20, 2024. <br /> Mayor Roe noted the petition notes that it is primarily a paperwork matter to clean <br /> up the title and that working with the City has been a positive experience. <br /> Mayor Roe reviewed public hearing protocol and opened and closed the public <br /> hearing at approximately 6:26 p.m. to receive public input on the above-referenced <br /> vacation of a utility easement at 571 Roselawn Avenue; with no one appearing for <br /> or against. <br /> Schroeder moved, Etten seconded, adoption of Resolution No. 12068 entitled, <br /> "Resolution Vacating a Utility Easement that was Reserved by the City in a <br /> Previous Vacation of a Portion of Carlisle Avenue Lying North of the Properties <br /> Located at 615,577, and 571 Roselawn Avenue West and a Portion of Kent Street <br /> Lying East of 571 Roselawn Avenue West." <br /> Council Discussion <br /> Councilmember Schroeder thought this looked straightforward. <br /> Roll Call <br /> Ayes: Etten, Schroeder, Groff, Strahan, and Roe. <br /> Nays: None <br /> Mayor Roe noted there were a couple of people who missed the public comment at <br /> the beginning of the meeting and wanted to announce an upcoming event in the <br /> City. He reopened the public comment portion of the meeting. <br /> Public Comment <br /> Mr. Ettien Djevi and Mr. Keith Allen, representatives of the Roseville Juneteenth <br /> Celebration,presented the Juneteenth Celebration Committee events coming up on <br /> June 15, 2024, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The representatives thanked the City <br /> for allowing this event to continue in the City. <br />
