It is a step that <br /> is missed but is not indicative of some inconsistency with meeting the requirements. <br /> Councilmember Strahan thought in looking at attachment 2 it did not look like it <br /> was a heavily forested area. In reading attachment 3, it makes it seem like there are <br /> a lot of trees being lost but maybe they are smaller in size or not as much cover. <br /> Ms. Lloyd indicated that was correct. <br /> Councilmember Etten referenced the previous road vacation for Ida Avenue on the <br /> east side of the property and he wondered where that property goes to. <br /> Mr. Lloyd reviewed the previous vacation with the Council. <br /> Mayor Roe noted the alley that was vacated has been added to the west side of this <br /> property as well. <br /> Mr. Lloyd agreed. <br /> Councilmember Etten referred to the retaining wall on the southeast corner of the <br /> property and wondered if it is a proposed retaining wall or something that exists. <br /> Mr. Lloyd believed it was a proposed retaining wall. <br /> Mayor Roe reviewed public hearing protocol and opened the public hearing at <br /> approximately 6:31 p.m. <br /> Public Comment <br /> Ms. Cari Gelle, Lovell Avenue, Roseville <br /> Ms. Gelle indicated she was familiar with this property. She asked if there was any <br /> information on the number of mature trees that would be lost due to this and if those <br /> trees would be replaced with young seedlings. She also wondered if it is known <br /> what the price of the homes will be or a price range for the homes that will be built <br /> on the two new lots. <br /> With no one else coming forward to speak, Mayor Roe closed the public hearing at <br /> approximately 6:33 p.m. <br /> Mayor Roe asked if there was an applicant present who might be able to speak to <br /> the potential price range for the homes. <br /> Ms. Carla Blomberg,owner, stated she and her husband own the lots. She indicated <br /> she did not know what the price range would be but the home directly to the west <br /> sold for$400,000 and these homes would be comparable in size. She would expect <br />
