• Booster Station Phase 4 Improvements <br />o Improvements likely to include new roof, tuckpointing, thermal and acoustical <br />treatments and other facility updates. Roof work will be done in coordination with <br />solar install. Bid package to be released likely later this year. <br />• 2025 Pavement Management Project <br />o Design underway for mill and overlay / pavement reclamation project to be <br />constructed in 2025. <br />• Wayfinding Signage <br />o Pedestrian level signs are being manufactured, and permits being obtained for <br />installation summer 2025. <br />• Lighting <br />o Repair of the Dale Street tunnel lights is complete. However, two freestanding <br />light fixtures on either side of the tunnel still await new fixtures. <br />o Neel has installed 13 of the 14 lights identified for install in 2024. In 2025, we will <br />request 29 new streetlights be installed per City request, based on new lighting <br />policy. <br />o Staff is working to replace Centre Pointe Drive and Arthur Street lighting with a <br />new contract with Neel for later in 2025. <br />• Bike Plan <br />o The Bike Plan Committee provided comments on the draft plan. <br />o Edits are being made to the draft now. Next steps will include review by PWET <br />and the Parks Commission, and the public. <br />o The demonstration project, intended to be the addition of buffer and bollard - <br />protected bike lanes on Hamline Avenue, between County Road B and County <br />Road B2, is in design and anticipated to be installed in May. <br />Other agency project updates: <br />• Ramsey County <br />o Dale Street from Lovell Avenue into St. Paul <br />• Mill, overlay and 4 to 3 lanes restriping will occur in the spring. <br />o Hamlin Avenue/Clarmar Lane Storm Sewer <br />• County to add to and replace existing storm sewer to address flooding and <br />aging infrastructure in 2025. <br />o County Road D from Highcrest Road to 88 <br />• City reviewed draft plans for mill and overlay for 2025 construction. <br />o County Road C 4-3 Conversion from Lexington to 35E and bridge over railroad <br />• City Council decided to remove the proposed trail on the north side of <br />County Road C from Western Avenue to Dale Street at their January 6 <br />meeting in response to a resident petition. <br />• 4-3 lane conversion with mill and overlay scheduled for 2026. <br />• Bridge redecking or replacement received federal funding and tentatively <br />planned for 2028. <br />PWET Communications Memo Page 2 <br />Page 12 of 43 <br />
