ATTACHMENT 1 <br />1 EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING <br />2 OF THE <br />3 CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE <br />4 <br />5 * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * <br />6 <br />7 Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of <br />th <br />8 Roseville, County of Ramsey, Minnesota was duly held on the 24 day of March 2025, at 6:00 <br />9 p.m. <br />10 <br />11 The following members were present: , , , , and Mayor . <br />12 and the following were absent: . <br />13 <br />14 Member introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />15 <br />16 <br />17 RESOLUTION No. <br />18 <br />19 RESOLUTION UPHOLDING THE CONDEMNATION OF 2401 PRIOR AVENUE <br />20 <br />21 <br />22 WHEREAS, the property located at 2401 Prior Avenue in the City of Roseville is being used as a <br />23 hotel that has been doing business as the Norwood Inn & Suites (the “Premises”); and <br />24 <br />25 WHEREAS, according to public records, prior to approximately March 5, 2024, the Premises <br />26 was owned by Milwaukee 45 Hospitality LLC, and on or about March 5, 2025, the Premises was <br />27 sold to SMP Hospitality LLC (collectively, the “Owners”); and <br />28 <br />29 WHEREAS, on April 8, 2024, the City of Roseville adopted Ord. 1674 establishing a <br />30 requirement for hotel licensing (the “Ordinance”); and <br />31 <br />32 WHEREAS, following adoption of the Ordinance, on September 26, 2024 all businesses <br />33 operating a hotel, including Milwaukee 45 Hospitality LLC, were notified of the upcoming <br />34 licensing requirement and the requirements that must be met to obtain a license, including that <br />35 the building must comply with all relevant health and safety codes; and <br />36 <br />37 WHEREAS, the Ordinance requires that all hotels obtain a license by April 1, 2025; and <br />38 <br />39 WHEREAS, in order to obtain a license, all businesses being operated as hotels must be <br />40 inspected for compliance with all relevant health and safety codes; and <br />41 <br />42 WHEREAS, in advance of the effective date of the Ordinance, the City building official and fire <br />43 inspector have been performing inspections on all businesses being operated as hotels to <br />44 determine compliance with all relevant health and safety codes; and <br />RS160\\25\\1017457.v1 <br />Qbhf!26!pg!558 <br /> <br />
