Attachment 2 <br />2026 Capital Improvement Plan <br /> Project/Initiative Summary <br />Department/Division: Parks <br />Project/Initiative Title: Sandcastle Playground <br />Total Estimated Cost: $200,000 <br />Funding Source: Park Improvement Fund 411 <br />Annual Operating Budget Impact: <br />Project/Initiative Description: <br />Playgrounds installed prior to the Parks and Recreation Renewal Program Replacements in 2012 had an <br />industry standard expected useful life of 13 years, depending on use. Playgrounds installed after the 2012 <br />Renewal Program have an expected useful life of 20 years. <br />Based on industry standards, the Asset Management Program for lifecycles, and preliminary analysis, the <br />Sandcastle Playground ready for replacement. A final evaluation will be conducted prior to replacement. <br /> <br />All playgrounds are inspected three times per year with a condition analysis performed.
