REQUEST FOR COUNCIL ACTION <br />Date: 2/9/2026 <br />Item No.: 7.f. <br />Department ApprovalCity Manager Approval <br />Item Description:Receive Update on Commission Applications <br />1 <br />2 Background <br />3 The City is currently accepting applications to fill vacancies on four advisory commissions: <br />4 Equity & Inclusion Commission (EIC) <br />5 Finance Commission <br />6 Planning Commission <br />7 Parks, Public Works & Environment Commission (PWET) <br />8 Council policy provides that the application period may be extended if fewer than twice the <br />9 number of applicants are received as there are vacancies. <br />10 The current application period closes on Friday, February 6, 2026.
