<br />-2- <br /> <br />Long Lake Road on its present right of way between the South line <br />of County Road C and extending South to a line parallel with and <br />Thirty-Five Feet South (35'S) of the South line of the North one- <br />half eN l/2) of Section Eight (8), Township Twenty-Nine (29), Range <br />Twenty-Three (23) Ramsey County, Minnesota; County Road B-2 on a <br />right of way Seventy Feet (70') in width, the centerline being de- <br />scribed as follows: Commencing on the West line of Long Lake Road <br />where it intersects the South line of the North One-Half (N.l/2) of <br />Section Eight (8), Township Twnety-Nine (29), Range Twenty-Three <br />(23), Ramsey County, Minnesota, and extending West along said South <br />line to the East line of Walnut Street; and <br /> <br />St. Croix Street commencing at the North right of way line of <br />Trunk Highway 36 and extending generally Northwesterly on its present <br />right of way, and thence extending the same in a generally Northerly <br />direction to the South line of proposed right of way of County Road <br />B-2 as set forth above. <br /> <br />The improvements are generally to be the construction and paving of <br />a nine-ton capacity road on all of the above right of ways, and the <br />construction of necessary storm drainage systems on said right of <br />ways and the construction of curbs and gutters, and acquiring of <br />right of ways. <br /> <br />The area to be assessed for such improvements is the property abutting <br />the right of way of Long Lake Road, the property abutting County Road <br />B-2 as described above, and as to St. Croix Street, the following <br />described real property situated in Ramsey County, Minnesota. and <br />described as follows, to wit: Subject to Trunk Highway 36, that <br />part of the Northeast Quarter of the Southwest Quarter (N.E.l/4 of <br />S.W.l/4) of Section Eight (8), Township Twenty-Nine (29), Range Twenty- <br />Three (23) lying East of the Minnesota Beltline Railway right of way, <br />except the West One Hundred Eighty-Nine Feet (W.189') thereof, and <br />except the East Two Hundred Ninety-Seven Feet (E. 297') thereof. <br /> <br />Dated: September 14, 1964 <br /> <br />By Order of the Village Council <br />Richard W. Turnlund, Village Clerk <br /> <br />Mr. Turnlund also produced an affidavit of mailing the assessment <br />notice to all property owners appearing on the County Treasurer's <br />tax roll within 30 days prior to the assessment hearing. <br /> <br />The Mayor announced that the meeting was open for the consideration <br />of objections, if any, to said proposed assessment. All persons <br />present were then given an opportunity to present oral objections, <br />and all written objections theretofore filed with the Village Clerk <br />were presented and considered, and all such objections were tabulated <br />as follows: <br /> <br />Mr. Ole Rice, 1975 Malvern: Felt the amount of his assessment was <br />too high. <br /> <br />Mr. Charles Arend, representing St. Paul Terminal Warehouse Company, <br />429 N. Prior: Referred to a triangular piece of property bounded <br />by County Road B-2, Walnut and Minnesota Transfer. Purchased part <br />of their property from Minnesota Transfer and paid an extra amount at <br />that time for the construction of streets. Therefore, they feel their <br />assessment is too high. <br />
