<br />-3- <br /> <br />Mr. Robert Carr, 2390 Fulham: Thinks the assessment is too high for <br />residential property. <br /> <br />Mr. Frank Graham of Briggs and Morgan, representing Ruan Transport <br />Company: Referred to the property at the southeast corner of <br />County Road C just where Long Lake Road comes into County Road C. <br />They have been assessed for 306 feet on Long Lake Road. He said <br />they objected at the feasibility hearing on the grounds that this <br />road was not necessary and would not benefit their property. In <br />addition, this is an odd shaped piece of property - 306 feet at <br />the front and about 280 feet at the rear. <br /> <br />After a discussion of the comments and objections the assessment <br />hearing was closed. <br /> <br />Goodrich Moved, Curley Seconded, that Resolution No. 1062 <br />adopting and confirming assessments for Long Lake Roadg County <br />Road B-2, St. Croix Street Street Improvement be adopted. <br />Roll Call, Ayes (5) - Nays (0). <br /> <br />The Mayor opened the public hearing on assessments regarding <br />the Widening of County Road B. The Mayor called on the Village <br />Clerk to produce the notice of publication and certificate of <br />mailing notices to property owners in the improvement. <br /> <br />Mr. Turnlund, the Village Clerk, produced an affidavit of publi- <br />cation indicating notice of public hearing was published in <br />Suburban Life on September 16, 1964. This notice read: <br /> <br />NOTICE OF HEARING ON THE PROPOSED ASSESSMENT FOR WIDENING OF <br />COUNTY ROAD B PASCAL AVENUE TO SNELLING AVENUE STREET IMPROVEMENT <br />VILLAGE OF ROSEVILLE, MINNESOTA. <br /> <br />NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Village of Roseville, <br />Minnesota, will meet at the Council Chambers of the Village Hall in <br />said village, on October 12, 1964, at 7:30 o'clock p.m. to consider <br />the proposed assessment for Widening of County Road B, Pascal Avenue <br />to Snelling Avenue Street Improvement, under and pursuant to the <br />provisions of Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 429. The proposed assess- <br />ment roll is on file with the Village Clerk and open to public inspec- <br />tion at the Village Hall, 270l North Lexington Avenue, St. Paul 13, <br />Minnesota. Written or oral objections thereto by any property owner <br />will be considered at the time and place stated above. The general <br />nature of Widening of County Road B, Pascal Avenue to Snelling Avenue <br />Street Improvement consists of the following: Entering into an <br />agreement with the County of Ramsey, Minnesota wherein the County of <br />Ramsey would agree to do the following: Construct a Forty-eight Foot <br />(48') concrete roadway on County Road "B" from the West line of <br />Hamline Avenue to the East line of Pascal Avenue; construct a Sixty- <br />Eight Foot (68') concrete road on County Road "B" from the East line <br />of Pascal Avenue to Four Hundred Feet East (400'E.) of the East line <br />of Snelling Avenue; construct a Sixty=Eight Foot (68') bituminous road <br />on County Road "B" from Four Hundred Feet East (400') of the East line <br />of Snelling Avenue to the East line of Snelling Avenue; construct curbs <br />and gutters; construct necessary storm drainage~ and pay for all costs <br />of constructing the Forty-Eight Foot (48') roadway referred to above. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION <br />NO. 1062 <br /> <br />WIDENING <br />OF COUNTY <br />ROAD B <br />
