The ~~yor then directed the Manager to read the des-

cription of the general nature and estimated cost of the

proposed improvement and the area proposed to be assessed

therefor, as stated in the published notice of hearing-

After reading of the notice, all persons present were

afforded opportunity to be heard, and the names and addresses

of the persons appearing and heard by the council, and the

substance of the views presented by them were as follows:

Improvement ST-P-69-l7

MR. GENE BAHNEMANN, 2656 Lexington: Asked how wide
the street would be and how wide the boulevard would be. Wants
the street to go all the way through - open on both ends.

DR. JAMES BERRY. 1059 Woodbill D3::"ive: Presented an objection
of the principal of the Lake OWasso School that there are
between 50 and 80 walking children along Woodhill Drive and as
soon as you open up the first through street along that walking
route you have created a hazard. Said the purpose of the street
is to serve the apartment building. There is another potential
and that is that it could be an additional access to Lexington
Avenue - people living north of Woodhill. liThe point is that
it has no value as an access to Lexington unless the village
considers petitioning the county for a signal light atLexington
and C, and such a signal light should make provision for left
turns going either north or south on Lexington. .." "Mr. Bahnemann
has made the point he'd like to have a two way street there. I
think that if such a street were to be put in that it's value
would be really as a one way street going south and as an access
road to get to Lexington, particularly if there is a signal in-
stalled. I furhher think if it's the wisdom of the Council to
put this street through that Woodhill should have the right of
way and the control should be stop signs at Woodhill. yielding
right of way to Woodhill.1I III think now is an appropriate time to
consider this but it seems to me all of these contingencies are
very important." Suggested that the street b~ a one way street
going south.
