<br />The Mayor then directed the Manager to read the description <br /> <br />of the general nature and estimated cost of the proposed improvement <br /> <br />and the area proposed to be assessed therefor, as stated in the <br /> <br />published notice of hearing. After reading of the notice, all <br /> <br />persons present were afforded opportunity to be heard, and the <br /> <br />names and addresses of the persons appearing and heard by the <br /> <br />Council, and the substance of the views presented by them were <br /> <br />as follows: <br /> <br />MR. BURKE M. RAYMOND, Village Manager, presented the <br />following communications received in connection with the <br />improvement: <br /> <br />MR. LAWRENCE LIEDHOLM, Alexandria, Minnesota: Mr. Liedholm <br />was the developer of the Rosewood Addition and is the owner of <br />Lot 17, Block 1. In favor of the improvement. The area has <br />always had a water problem and the pond is a safety hazard for <br />small children. He believes the largest water problem is <br />caused by Midland Hills Country Club as they have a drain in <br />the rear of Lot 14, Block 1 that runs water most of the year, <br />overflowing the pond onto Rosewood Lane. He further said that <br />Lots l5, 16 and l7 are used as a dumping ground for tree and <br />grass clippings, stumps and old construction materials. <br /> <br />MR & MRS. CLIFFORD WETMORE, 2184 N. Rosewood Lane: Requested that <br />the Roseville Parks and Recreation Department study the area <br />bounded by Midland Hills Golf Course on the north ~d west, <br />Roselawn Avenue on the south and Cleveland Avenue on the east for <br />possible areas of land useful for acquisition and preservation by <br />the village for recreation or as preserves. If the study proves <br />some land is useful to the village, they request that the village <br />purchase the lots for recreational purposes. <br /> <br />MR. ALFRED C.
