.MR. HONCHELL: Northern States Power says you have to match their standards. MRS. NORQUAL: I think they should be postponed until there are more people to pay for it. The original assessment on the road was $35,000 and we don't feel we should pay for the street lights too. The whole city will be paying for the street lights. MR. HONCHELL: I agree with you and that's why I favor Alternate 3. MAYOR LINEBARGER: Apparently when you sent out the bulletin you mentioned $23,000. Do you have a comparable figure for Alternates 2 and 3 and the new Plan 4 mentioned tonight? MR. HONCHELL: $15,000 for Plan 3 would be comparable. MAYOR LINEBARGER: So the cost would be $15,000, and if we cut it down from 14 to 11, what would that be? MR. HONCHELL: I would say around $12,000. MAYOR LINEBARGER: Does that explain it in a different way - a little clearer? Any further statements or questions? MR. BRENT JORDAHL, 562 Heinel Drive: I helped Jim Michels run the petition and also signed the second one. I think there are three or four existing lights on Heinel now. What would happen to those? MR. HONCHELL: They would try and utilize them where possible - if it comes on the exact scheme that's picked. I know at least one of the plans - two of those would be utilized. What they try and do is utilize what's possible but I guess I can't tell you they'd all be used. MR. JORDAHL: One point I wanted to make - is the light you have on South OWasso - there's a light down about 100 feet on South OWasso. Therefore, with the one on South OWasso (inaudible) be necessary. That's about 100 feet down from the corner. MR. HONCHELL: Part of the reason the one is needed on the corner is also to spread some of the light up Kent. The distance up Kent Street is really farther than you should have between lights and if we didn't have one at the corner (inaudible) told them that can't be done. You would not ,have enough light 9
