As soon as a quorum J.S present, minutes <br />of the previous meeting shall be approved as presented <br />or accepted after corrections have been made. <br /> <br />Rule 6. MJtions. Any rrotion, by any ffi2rrber, shall be reduced <br />to \'-lri ting upon the request of any rrerober. No rrotion <br />shall be put to vote until it has been stated by the <br />recorder at the request of any nernber of the Council. <br /> <br />Rule 7. Minutes of t"Dtions. After a rrotion shall be stated by <br />the recorder, it shall be in possession of the Council, <br />but. it IT'ay be withdrawn at any tirre by the COlIDcilman <br />presenting the rrotion before being amended or acted upon. <br />All rrotions and arrendments thereto shall be entered <br />upon the minutes and the vote thereon whether they be <br />adopted or rejected. <br /> <br />Rule 8. Petitions, M2morials, etc. Petitions, rrerrorials, and <br />other papers addressed to the COLU1cil shall be pre- <br />sented by the presiding officer or by a member in his/her <br />place, or may be read by the recorder at ti'.e request of <br />a rrerober or the presiding officer. All petitions, <br />memorials, and other corrmmications whic.'1 may be filed <br />with or delivered to the Manager prior to the meeting <br />of the Council shall be brought before t.1)e Council by <br />the Manager. <br /> <br />Rule 9. Vote. (1) P-oll Call shall be called from the presiding <br />officer's right to hisjher left, except the presiding <br />officer shall vote last. <br /> <br />(2) Each individual's vote shall be entered in <br />the minutes. <br /> <br />(3) Any merrber may abstain from \~ting or dis- <br />qualify h~self/herself. The reason for disgLlalification. <br />or abstention n1us.t be stated by the rrember and entered in <br />the minutes. If a member disqualifies himselfjherself he/ <br />she may leave the room while the issue is being considered. <br /> <br />Rule 10. Ordinance~.
